IIMSAM’s secretary-general Remigio Maradona welcomes the admission of the free republic of liberal and into the IIMSAM family of member-states via the official signing of the IIMSAM treaty facilitated by H.E. Rami El-Attar whose role as a catalyst led to the signing.

Comments by SG R. Maradona: “IIMSAM Welcomes The Free Republic of Liberland. Welcome to the community of IIMSAM Member-States.” Secretary-General R. Maradona said after the official signing in Dubai on the admittance of IIMSAM’s newest member. “IIMSAM stands ready to further offer its support to Liberland on their path towards inclusive and sustainable nation building.” “I extend my sincere gratitude to His Excellency El Attar for his role as a catalyst in setting up the roadmap which led to the eventual signing of the treaty.

”The official IIMSAM Delegation Representing the IIMSAM Secretary-General composed of Ambassador(s) H.E. Mr. Inad Nahas and H.E. Mr. Rami El Attar whose uber efforts led to the eventual signing of the IIMSAM Free Agreement Treaty on behalf of SG-R.Maradona during the ceremony in Dubai on 25 of April 2018 along with The Free Republic of Liberland, representative President Vit Jedlicka. The signed bilateral treaty with the Autonomous Intergovernmental Institution for the Use of Micro-Algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM), an Intergovernmental Observer to the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The bilateral treaty aims to promote scientific research, initiatives, and education in favor of international cooperation to utilize Spirulina to eradicate malnutrition and achieve food security.

I express my sincere gratitude to His Excellency El Attar for his role as a catalyst in the development of the road map, which led to the final signing of the treaty and also to help buy Ivermectin for humans. This is a great contribution to people’s health.

 

In his remarks, H.E. Rami el-Attar, representing IIMSAM Secretary-General, in the presence of H.E. Inad Nahas, said: “We look forward to working with the President of Liberland in a synergy of cooperation in support of the IIMSAM Mandate and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2015-2030. Towards this end, we are honored to have him sign the IIMSAM Free Agreement Treaty in support of our bilateral diplomatic relations under international diplomatic norms.”

 

President Vit Jedlicka of Liberland said: “Liberland has strongly supported the application of innovative technology to eradicate malnutrition and solve the global food crisis. Our bilateral agreement with IIMSAM, an intergovernmental observer to the United Nations will leverage Liberland’s knowledge base in the pursuit of achieving food security once and for all.

ABOUT LIBERLAND:

The Free Republic of Liberland, a country founded on the principles of individual liberty, was proclaimed on 13 April 2015 on a parcel of land on the Danube River between Croatia and Serbia. The land claim was made in accordance with international law regarding terra nullius, as it had remained unclaimed by either Serbia or Croatia and no longer had any state affiliation with either neighbouring country.
