Charitable boxes full of vital-items have been distributed to 1500 underprivileged persons

IIMSAM’s “Gadara initiative” honours Jordan’s frontline medical corps heroes from king’s hospital and its founder prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Ghazou.

Jordan is engaged in a historic battle to safeguard the lives of  their citizens, as everyone is during the Covid-19 Pandemic world crisis. The future of society is the greatest weapon is the discipline and determination of every citizen to be safe and stay healthy for a long time. And it’s not going to be too long before the Pandemic is finally defeated through a vaccine coming in the offing. In the meantime. IIMSAM’S Goodwill Ambassador Farej Omari, who spear-heads the IIMSAM ongoing Gadara Initiative-Exo-Humanitarian-Activities-Programme, distributed certificates of appreciation and gifts. As an expression of appreciation and gratitude for the Medical Corps for their fortitude and commitment through their daily work on the frontlines. These are the unsung heroes led by the Director-General of the Founding King’s Hospital, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Ghazou. In Jordan, as in the rest of the world, Medical Corps enjoyed all the respect and love for their high mantle in facing the Pandemic, which is now on a downward spiral in part because of these Medical-Corps tenacity.  

Prof Al-Ghazou said: “These initiatives work to create a kind of familiarity and love and spread joy and pleasure, which motivates medical staff to increase productivity towards a healthy and safe environment for people.” He furthered emphasized an appreciation to all institutions and individuals who initiated the positive contribution to serve the nation and donate to the hospital.”

 “Nothing epitomizes this spirit of service more than the prodigious work carried out by the people on the frontlines, including Army Soldiers, Health Workers, civilians, and, last but not least, our field volunteers corps led by Ambassador Omari. Including our own Role Model Goodwill Ambassadors supporting the effort to battle COVID-19.  Some of them have gone on the field in remote areas. They are putting their lives at risk to come to the aid of those most impacted by a corona virus.”

IIMSAM’s “Gadara” initiative in Jordan continues this time around four in response with exo-humanitarian activities in assisting the needy amid the COVID-19 pandemic world crises.

IIMSAM’S Goodwill Ambassador in Jordan H.E. Mr. Farej Omari led a team of volunteers to sanitized all of the archaeological and  tourist facilities in the Umm Qais antiquities Archaeological Zone in the afar Northern part of Jordan. The initiative launched in a synergy of unprecedented cooperation and coordination with Jordanian authorities. From the Erbid Governorate, and Security Departments.

Gadara (Modern Um Qeis or Qays) The ancient classical period city of Gadara, and a member city of the Decapolis (Greek Ten Cities), is one of Jordan’s most dramatic antiquities sites-both for the many substantial ruins of black basalt and white limestone, and for the city’s impressive setting overlooking the north Jordan Valley, the Sea of Galilee. The extensive site has scores of standing and still buried monuments covering an area of several hectares. 

Jordan has submitted its petition to UNESCO’S World Heritage  Committee/World Heritage Centre concerning the declaration/or proclamation of the legal status of Umm Qais antiquities archaeological site as a UNESCO Heritage Site.

IIMSAM’S “GADARA” INITIATIVE IN JORDAN CONTINUES THIS TIME IN SUPPORT OF  150 families in northern Jordan BY DISTRIBUTING BREAD.

  IIMSAMS Gadara initiative in Jordan distributed bread to 150 families in northern Jordan. This work aimed to support Khalid Ibn Al Walid people during these challenging times of COVID19. The distribution was done in cooperation with the Khalid IBN Al Walid Municipality and the Police Authorities as this imperative food distribution took place during curfew hours.

Under the guidance of the initiative’s founder, and IIMSAM GWA Mr. Farej Omari, a group of volunteers participated in in this imperative Exo-Humanitarian Activity to families in need during these tough times of COVID19.

I am so grateful to IIMSAM SG Remigio Maradona for giving me this opportunity to support IIMSAM. As well as given me an opportunity to perform these Exo-Humanitarian Activities periodically under the Gadara Initiative for the needy across various sectors of Jordanian Society as we have already done with the needy populations, refugees from Syria – Peoples with Special Needs, the Elderly. And now families in need during the times of COVID 19 which makes  difficult to deliver it to the families.

IIMSAM works with Concrete Deeds in Invigorating the Elderly in Irbid-Governarate in Jordan. (See Video)

IIMSAM Initiative in Jordan “Gadara” supports people of Determinations. As part of its humanitarian and social goals, the Gadara initiative organized on last Tuesday special activities for people (Children) of Determinations in the Amal Center in the Lewwa Bani Kenana, Irbid Governorate of Jordan.

Under the guidance of the initiative’s founder, and IIMSAM Advisor Mr. Farej Omari, a group of volunteers participated in welcoming the center’s students witch included educational and entertainment activities. Appropriate gifts were given to the students of the center and were carefully chosen to match their needs.

Mr. Farej Omari serves as a “Pro Bono” Adviser of IIMSAM in Jordan and has launched as apart of Winter 2020 Campaign. The Gadara Initiative under IIMSAM’S Umbrella. By distributing lifesaving food items,blankets and other imperative items for the needy population,families & refugees from Syria “inter alia.” In Deir Al-Sa`nah area, Irbid Governorate, Jordan. This campaign aims to support IIMSAM efforts in eradicating hunger and malnutrition, and IIMSAM’s humanitarian efforts in Jordan.
