During his family visit to his homeland IIMSAM-GWA K2rhym made a brief detour to visit The SOS Guammarth Children’s Village a Global Federation non-governmental and non-denomenational. Working to protect and care for children who have lost parental care, or who stand at risk of losing it. They work with communities, partners, and states to ensure that the rights of all children, in every society, are fulfilled. SOS Children respect all religions and cultures and work with trusted partners in places where they can contribute to social development. Everything they do is made possible through the generous support of sponsors and donors, institutional and corporate partners, and loyal friends worldwide. The outstanding contribution that IIMSAM’s GWA K2rhym made was substantial help which is needed too. SOS Children’s Villages International comprises 118 national SOS Children’s Villages associations. As members of the federation, each SOS Children’s Villages association is committed to applying the federation’s statutes, standards for quality child care and stringent financial and administrative practices. The first SOS Children’s Village was founded by Hermann Gmeiner in Tyrol, Austria, in 1949. As a child welfare worker, Gmeiner saw how children orphaned as a result of World War II suffered. He was committed to helping them by building loving families and supportive communities.
